Terms of Service

Version 1.0 — effective August 5, 2026.

These terms govern your use of BragRights (the “service”), reachable at bragrights.club and app.bragrights.club. BragRights is operated as an independent, non-commercial project — “we,” “us,” and “BragRights” refer to that project, not a registered company. By creating an account or otherwise using BragRights, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

1. What BragRights is

BragRights is a free, social, play-money game for friends to wager and pick’em on sports inside private crews. It is not a gambling product, not a financial service, and not an investment product.

Bones have no monetary value, ever. Bones can’t be bought, sold, transferred for money, or redeemed for cash or anything of value. There is no purchase path and no cash-out path anywhere in BragRights, for anyone, under any circumstance. If you and other members choose to arrange something involving real money outside the service, that arrangement is entirely your own — BragRights does not sanction, facilitate, or take any part in it, and accepts no responsibility or liability for it.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use BragRights. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement. BragRights is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to use it.

3. Your account

You sign in through a third-party identity provider (currently Google, Apple, Microsoft, or Facebook). BragRights never collects or stores a password — your login credentials are your identity provider’s to protect, not ours. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account. One account per person; if we find you’re running more than one to gain an unfair advantage in a crew, we can suspend the extras.

4. Crews, commissioners, and your content

A crew is invite-only, joined by a link or code from someone already in it. Every crew has at least one commissioner, who can:

Every one of these actions is logged and visible to the crew — a commissioner cannot quietly rig their own crew. BragRights is not a party to your crew and does not arbitrate disputes between members beyond what the crew’s own audit log shows. If a disagreement can’t be settled inside the crew, it’s between its members, not us.

You keep ownership of what you post — your display name, handle, avatar, and any messages or posts. Using BragRights, you grant us a license to store and display that content within the service, to the crews you belong to, for as long as your account or that content exists. Don’t post anything unlawful, harassing, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

5. Sports data

BragRights aggregates publicly available sports information — schedules, scores, and lines — to grade wagers and picks. BragRights is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ESPN, any sports league, team, or data provider. We make no guarantee that any score, odds, or line we display is accurate, complete, or timely. A wager or pick is graded against whatever our systems recorded at the time, which is occasionally corrected after the fact and may differ momentarily from an official league record.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t: exploit a bug for unfair advantage instead of reporting it; run bots or automated scraping against the service; attempt to build a real-money payout on top of Bones; impersonate someone else; or otherwise use BragRights unlawfully. We can suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms.

7. Availability and changes

BragRights is provided free of charge, with no subscription, no fees, and no obligation to keep using it. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and features described on this site may change as the product evolves.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using BragRights and delete your account at any time from within the app, with no penalty and nothing owed either way. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

BragRights is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Since BragRights is free and no money ever moves through it, our liability to you for anything arising from your use of the service is limited to the greatest extent the law where you live allows.

10. Accessibility

We want BragRights to be usable by everyone, including people using assistive technology. If you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site or in the app, tell us at the address below and we’ll do our best to fix it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. A material change will carry a new version number, and continuing to use BragRights after that point means you accept the update.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
