  An invite to a crew whose season has ended now says so up front

  Open an invite link for a crew that has finished its season and the screen used to show you the crew, the members and who runs it, exactly as a live one does — and then refuse when you tapped Join. It looked like a broken link, so people went back to whoever sent it and asked for a new one, which would not have helped. The join screen now checks the season before it offers you the button, and tells you plainly that the season has finished. The link itself is fine; there is just nothing left to join.

  Invite by QR code — point a phone at it and you’re in

  Every crew card now carries a QR code beside its invite code. Hold it up and whoever’s across the table scans it — no eight characters read out loud, no typos. Tap it to fill the screen, or save the image and send it wherever your crew already talks. The code is still printed underneath, because a camera that won’t focus shouldn’t be the end of it. Scanning also survives the sign-up detour now: if you’re new, you land on the crew you were invited to rather than the home screen.

  Accepting an invite now works for someone brand new

  Two things stood in the way, and both are gone. A first-timer who signed in from an invite could get through sign-up and land on their crews list instead of the crew that invited them — the invite was being forgotten one screen too early. And the signup-code screen now says plainly that a crew code and a signup code are two different things, so nobody types the one they were sent and gets told it is invalid. An invite link that drops the app. in front of the address gets you to the right place now too, instead of the homepage.

  Spread pick’em shows the line before you pick, not after

  In a crew that plays pick’em against the spread, the line only appeared once you’d already chosen a side — which is precisely backwards. Both sides now carry their number up front, so you can see what you’re taking before you take it.

  Bring your own AI: connect Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok

  BragRights now speaks MCP — add it as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT (developer mode), or Grok and ask about your crews from chat: standings, your wagers, the rivalries. If your account has the bet Tracker, the assistant becomes the easiest way in: screenshot a slip into the chat, it reads the fields back to you, and on your say-so the bet lands in your Tracker. The screenshot itself never touches BragRights — your assistant does the reading, we only get the numbers you confirmed.

  Rivalries: when you and a crewmate pick opposite sides

  Back the Eagles while Mike backs the Cowboys and the moment the game locks, it’s a matchup — a new Rivalries tab on your crew page shows both sides, the stakes, and how each of you is doing. You’ll get a notification naming exactly who you’re up against. Talk trash with a set of canned taunts (three per matchup — make them count), and anyone in the crew can pile on with reactions. Nothing shows before lock, same as always.

  A new coat of paint: deep blue, with red for what’s live

  The whole app moved to a deeper blue palette. Wins and actions are azure now, live games carry a red dot — the broadcast convention — and Bones are still gold, up or down. Every screen also got proper loading placeholders instead of a bare “Loading…”, so nothing jumps when your crews and slates arrive, and on a wide screen the tab bar moves to the left edge where your pointer already is.

  Game times now show the date, not just the day

  A kickoff used to read Sat 7:05 PM, which only tells you enough when every game on screen is inside the next seven days. On a slate that runs longer, several rows all said “Sat” and there was no way to tell them apart. They now read Sat, Sep 12, 7:05 PM, everywhere a start time appears — the sportsbook, your crew page, and the public slate.
